I love this book because they explain the scriptures in todays terms and at the same time show the scriptures. It is easy to stay focused and easy to consentrate because they are in small sections. I would welcome more books along these same lines.

My church gives this book to new believers. A woman in my Alpha class had one and shared how helpful it was to her (she had it with her). Other members became interested and one of them got one from the church for herself and her sister. I wanted my own to give away and I ordered 10 to get the $1.69 price. I gave one to a man who has been on the fringes of Christianity for years. He has struggled with alcoholism and recently was divoriced. He is a chef and a friend and I eat where he cooks almost every week so we can check on him. He is the first person I gave the book to. This was on April 27. One week later when I came to the diner he ran to his backpackpulled out a very battered book and said how he loved it. He showed me a portion he had highlighted. He appreciated the translation which made it more understandable and the brevity of each reading. He wants the "next one" when he finishes this one. I ordered the Gospel of John, NIV, Special Alpha Edition and God's Word New Testament, Pocket Edition from your Friday Five specials on May 7. I am thrilled and praising God for letting me be a part of this miracle.

It's amazing how simply looking in the right direction can be the start down a magnificent path. For me, this book has been a great tool for starting down the path of becoming a Christian again. It helps the reader incorporate fundamental ideals into day-to-day practice. Great words are worth knowing."For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it."[Luke 9:24]I think this book would be most beneficial for someone just starting off toward a Christian life, but everyone can find inspiration in this book.

I love this little book. It gives me the oportunity to learn more as well as a quick little extra devotion time. I feel refreshed & hope revived in just a short minute per day. I usually read 2-4 pages at a time and always start with re-reading the last page I read the day before. I like this book so much I just got one for my daughter too :) ... This is a great Booklet to give to new Christians and those who may have questions or strayed...It is short readings to start you off on your journey with the our Lord..Great Biblical explanations of some of lifes most asked questions...I have given these out to New Christians and Other Christians that just need a simple format to explain the questions they have...Highly recommed this...and it is also a great tool to use when you are wittnessing to others..I Keep one on hand all the time

It's great! But I was on the same lesson for 2 hours! Which is also great, but it's difficult to stop at 10 minutes. I just kept reading and looking up verses, I learned a lot and had fun spending that time with my Lord!

This book is very good, especially for new or young Christians. It is perfect to use as an introductory Bible study to get one started in the Word. It has a place to read, pause, reflect, pray and make notes. One of the best I have seen!

What a wonderful book! Sometimes we feel "too busy" to read but this little book gives a great message daily and it only takes a minute. What better way to start or end the day than with scripture.

While this book has some good messages I was disapointed that it wasn't solid verses. It references a couple of verses each day but they are rewritten into the author's words. I think it would have been better if it had a verse or two, then author comments, and then room to make your own comments. It does have the las one (room for your own comments) which is probably the best part of the book.

I think this is an excellent book for new Christians to get started in the basics of being a Christian. I also hand out some to a few men in a class I teach who have wandered away from the Lord and need a refresher course.

I love this little book. Our church gives them out when someone gives their heart to Jesus Christ. It is a great way to help them learn to read the Bible every day. It is said that it taked 30 days to form a habit, this book has 90 day one minute devotionals.What a wanderful habit to form in your new live with Christ.
