As my wife states: The cover is so beautiful. Also the type size of print is just right. And as we go through comparing King James to the amplified, the convenience of having them both at hand, is delightful and provides tremendous clarity and insight. We love the function this bible provides, and its unique color configuration makes it so desirable.

I purchased this Bible for a gift. The colors were so pretty. The colors are rich and colorful. It exceeded what I wanted for a gift. The pages are easy to follow. As it turns out it was the perfect gift.

I knew the Bible would be imitation leather but this Bible's surface is almos velvet like and has a certain type of texture to it. It feels like a paperback Bible with a velvet type of texture... kind of hard to explain. Just beware that if you want imitation leather, this is not it.
Overall, it seems to be bound really well so I think it will hold up against the day to day abuses most Bibles get. I just use this as a companion resource if I want to look something up in a different translation. It is not being used as my primary Bible.
The print is pretty small so if you are expecting large print, this is not it. Also the red letters are only on the King James side, not the Amplified Side.
If those issues do not concern you then I think you will like this Bible a lot.

When wanting to add personal inscriptions be sure you have the boxes marked online and the verifiied information as i assumed upon receiving it the lack of the words happy birthday. the invoice didnt have the request so it was a mistake on my part. to sum it up great bible and gift idea. this was on special for half price and be sure to check your preordering info such as lettering and initials before final sale.

I love having the parallel! I like the amplified because it doesn't change the original scripture translation (KJV), but simply inserts meanings of words, etc, to help with clarity and understanding.

The Amplified bible is the one I was brought up on and not the King James. ( I am 55 years old ).Reading this Bible makes things very clear because the words do not have double meanings.We all know the discernment of God's word's come from him as we earn them , they are not just given to us no matter what Bible you read!

I write this simply in the interest of making you aware of what you’re buying here. While there's nothing wrong with this Bible itself the description is incorrect in that the cover is not imitation leather at all, it's a silky, satiny, nylon-like material. I informed them of this fact when I returned mine & at least one other reviewer has noted it as well but so far it’s still described incorrectly.
While it is pretty to look at I’d say it’s a bit hard to hold onto & I'd question its durability & resistance to snags & tears but as long as you're aware of that the only other thing I’d say is that the 8 point type is pretty tiny. Item #WW940821 is basically the same Bible & though I haven’t received mine yet it appears to actually have an imitation leather cover in about the same design & color with larger, so called large, print, though it’s only 10 pt.

The layout and readability of this bible is good. The one thing that I think consumers should know is that this bible does not look like immatation leather. It has a satin type cover with a sheen to it. It looks very different in person than it does in the photograph. I question how durable the cover will be over time, because it is like a cloth type material. Overall the layout is nice, I am just concerned about the durability of the cover.

I love my new Bible. I was so excited when i got it. The cover feels soft and looks different from different angles. I got my name engraved on it and it looks awesome contrasted with the camel part of the cover.I really like having the KJV together with the AMP. Before this i have had the NIV and NKJV. My pastor had been recommending getting an AMP Bible, but i never was really sure whether i could "trust" the translation. I have also always wanted to read through an KJV Bible. Both versions really compliment each other. Help me to understand.I got my Bible a month ago in the mail, and i am busy reading my Bible. I love it. God's Word is so beautiful. It seems i can never learn enough! Or be blessed enough!!

I purchased this Bible for my husband because he loves the KJV version as well as the amplified and he used to carry both. Now he has easy reference to the Amplified without going back and forth between the rwo. He loves it. Also, this Bible is very attractive and easy to read. Also, the price is right. I also like being able to get it inscribed. It makes a perfect gift for a serious Christian who loves to dtudy God's word.

The parallel bible is helpful in as much as the reader has the option of reviewing the scripture in KJV as an immediate reference (as it is in my case) or visa versa. The most helpful is the Amplified version gives the referenced scripture immediately after the bible verse. It is very helpful and time saving compared to having to refer to the margin for the referenced chapter and verses. This bible will be used often and is a wonderful addition to my Holy Scripture library.
