Guidepost Books Whispers Through the Trees, Mysteries of Sparrow Island Series #2

Escape to the magnificent Jan Juan Islands, lavish green jewels just off Washington State's rugged coastling, and relax in a leisurely paced world rich with natural beauty. But all is not as serene as it seems.

Abigail Stanton, a noted East Coast bird specialist, rushes home to Sparrow Island after a terrible car accident leaves her sister Mary paralyzed. While there, Abby spots a rare and endangered marbled murrelet and its mate. Determined to save them, she finds herself in the midst of a fascinating mystery about one of the longtime families on Sparrow Island.

It was very informative about the different birds of that area. I hope that Christianbook Distributors will be able to carry the rest of the Mysteries of Sparrow Island series ---so I could enjoy and read them.
A friend of mine wanted to read that series--since she was unable to get it from the library.

This was a well written story of reconciliation between two older sisters, a longtime mystery solved involving island residents and their life choices. A very enjoyable, gentle read, but intriguing too, especially for anyone who is familiar with the Pacific Northwest.
