This Bible is a very portable item, exactly what I was looking for. Don't let the "Guy's Edition" fool you, there are no notes or much more than the plain NIV text; the only difference between this and the Girl's Edition is the color. (I don't care if I AM a female, I don't like pink.) The type is small, but readable, and it's about a quarter of the size and weight of the Bible I originally got to take on a trip. It's very attractive, the pages are thin (of course) but not flimsy, and the cover is pleasant to the touch. Over all, a very nice little Bible.
I purchased these Bible while they were on sale for the youth group. It's great to have a good quality Bible to give to those who don't have one. When I give these Bibles away I feel it is a good quality gift, not like the cheap ones. I feel it is worth the extra $4. And everyone who receives one is impressed at the quality.
After my old Bible had finally fell apart, I had to resort to using my Archaeological Bible to do the weekly Scripture reading in the morning service of my church. I love my Archaeological Bible but it's big and heavy and meant for me to study with at home. I needed a smaller Bible to carry to church and this thinline NIV fit the task perfectly. Small, lightweight, love the green and brown cover, and has Christ's words in red like I prefer. I've mentioned repeatedly how much I enjoy this Bible. I recommend it to anyone unless you have a hard time reading smaller print.
