You really can teach your child Latin even if you have no experience with it. This makes it easy and doable. This is the first time I have enjoyed learning another language. It will probably help us with other languages as well. Latin makes so much sense and so does the way this book is laid out.

We've read through the first four lessons and it is just an awesome product. The DVD teacher makes teaching Latin so easy. The pronunciation CD is a great addition so my kids can practice after class and throughout the week. The workbook is fun and engaging. I'm so glad I decided to use Prima Latina when I decided to add Latin to our school year. I couldn't be more please with the value I found through Christianbooks.com

This is a great text/workbook for beginners. I am using it with a group of 2nd and 3rd graders. It is simple and easy to follow, just what they need at the beginning of Latin studies.

We're only on our second week/lesson of this, but our two boys are using the words and phrases with each other outside of class time and seem to be remembering it well! We only do one lesson a week, with three days of review to be sure it's cemented in our minds. Looking forward to the rest of the lessons!
PS We did purchase the DVDs and CDs and teacher's manual and they are a great help!

I bought this as part of the kit. I probably wouldn't have purchased as a stand alone, but with the whole program it is a great piece to the puzzle. Well laid out, not too overwhelming, and just enough practice.
