This CD is helpful, but it lacks a lot of necessary information. Not all of the new words in each lesson are pronounced on the CD. Also the narrator has a southern accent, and sometimes it's hard to understand the pronounciations clearly.

The Prima Latina CD helps with pronouncing those words in Latin that the book does not help you with in the pronounciation guides. For example, the double-vowel sounds in certain words. It is also a big help in the memorization work for kids who memorize better from hearing rather than reading the material. It is also a good thing to have for those homeschooling parents who are lacking in confidence in teaching Latin, even though this is the easiest Latin curriculum I've ever used, and it is priced right, too. I do not normally buy "teacher's guides", but this one is really necessary for answers and to build the teacher's confidence.
