You can't go wrong when you go with Veggie Tales for your little ones. I have yet to be disappointed with them. They are colorful, musical, and fun --- all things that little kids love! And they are full of great moral lessons, something which I, as a parent, definitely love!

My 4 1/2 year old son loves this and so do we. We were planning to skip the whole Santa Claus thing with him; yet without fail every Christmas someone asks him if he is ready for Santa Claus. St NIcholas gives us a positive way to explain Santa Clause to him while still keeping Christ at the center of Christmas. We have just done operation Christmas child boxes and my son was asking why he could not have the toys we were packing. I was able to explain to him about giving to others because God gave his son Jesus to us and how that giving to the poor was what St. Nicholas was doing in the movie. Thanks. Veggie Tales!

I can say I enjoyed and appreciated the msg of Nickolas' story. The part with the singing nun explaining to Nickolas why she gives to the poor was significant and touching. The parents of Nickolas reminded me of my recently deceased mother who had the same heart of caring and love for the hurting, and poor. I rated it 3 stars because I'll need to review the video again in order to give more thought to my issues within the story. For me the concerns I have center on St.Nick/Santa.

Highly recommend this DVD, my kids love it and it's not even December. Really good for teaching kids the true joy of giving rather than the 'get get get' mentality they can get into at Christmas time. And Operation Christmas Child is a fantastic thing to be a part of and extend the message - our kids each do a box for a child their age, it really helps them to live out what they're learning and I thoroughly recommend doing it.

We love Veggies @ our house. Even the kind you eat! This is a great DVD that reminds children of the real meaning of Christmas. We rented this movie from our local library and my kids loved watching it as part of our Christmas in July week @ our house. My 4 year old even asked for a way we could help others. Price was fantastic and we received it earlier than the ship date at checkout! We also purchased the Christmas Songs DVD and my kids danced and sang their hearts out to Christmas songs during our 100 degree + day here in Maryland! What a fun way to fight off the heat wave!

This story is definitely one of the most touching christmas specials you'll see, period. I've enjoyed both "The Toy that Saved Christmas" and "The Star of Christmas", but this one just has something special to it. It's a heartwarming tale that talks about the origins of "Santa Clause" while not destroying the fantasies that many children have. It also touches on some deep topics that give it a lot more depth than most VeggieTales episodes, but still has enough of the trademark silliness so that younger ones will still enjoy watching it. The story also stays true to the core message of "We can give because God gave", and features catchy songs throughout, and a bonus song under the credits featuring Matthew West and Amy Grant that's absolutely wonderful. So I think that no matter who you are, this is a really great Christmas movie. I loved watching it, and am looking forward to "The Little Drummer Boy" this fall.
