I believe reading comprehension is a key to all learning, so I like adding this in to what we already do. It's pretty simple for the child to handle on their own, and I like the different subjects they're reading about. We don't often do the writing assignment given at the end of each lesson. Just too much desk work that's unnecessary in my opinion.
