FaithWords One Perfect Day: A Novel, Mass Market Paperback

This is the story of two mothers, strangers to one another. The first has two children--twins, a boy and girl, who are seniors in high school. She wants their last Christmas as a family living in the same home to be perfect, but her husband is delayed returning from a business trip abroad. And then there's an accident--a fatal one involving a drunk driver.

Meanwhile, the other mother has a daughter who needs a new heart, and so the loss of one woman becomes the miracle the other has desperately prayed for. While one mother grieves, and pulls away from her family, the other finds that even miracles aren't always easy to receive.

Without giving away the plot, this story is told from two perspectives: a mother who has lost something precious, and a mother who has found something precious. The story links these women and their families because of an ultimate gift - LIFE! Alternating chapters take you first into Nora's, then Jenna's life. And on the story unfolds...
I rarely cry reading a story. But I did reading this one. At times I was so very sad for what was going on with Nora and her family. At the same time, such a beautiful love story blossomed in Janna's life, and my heart rejoiced. You were never left bogged down in Nora's pain too long, for the next chapter told of the victorious life that Jenna and her daughter were living. A perfect balance!
The Epilogue tells the wondrously uplifting and happy ending. Upon finishing the book, I hugged it to my breast with a smile on my face. It was just so satisfying & so worth reading! There is great insight and truth in these pages, not just the fluff of so many stories. Organ & tissue donation is viewed from both sides. I will never think of this topic in the same way. I feel sure you will love it as I do. I only wish I could have given it 7 stars!
I recommend it for teens and adults alike.
