This is a great book for any sports fan who is a Christian. I liked the viewpoint of the book. I found it interesting to read about the Cardinals baseball team and their winning history. Seeing this history from a Christian point of view was entertaining as well as uplifting! I gave this book 5/5 stars. I would recommend this book to any fans of baseball or sports. I would also recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading stories of the different ways the Lord blesses people who do their best to live for him.

I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

If you've ever wondered what makes the St. Louis Cardinals so different from other MLB teams, I would highly suggest reading "Intentional Walk" by Rob Rains. There are numerous books on the market that talk stats and strategy, but this is the only one I've seen that goes deeper.

"Intentional Walk" is a great look at the faith of several prominent members of the 2012 Cardinals team. From managers to players to support staff, see what keeps these men grounded while they play in "America's Favorite Past-time".

I, personally, have been a Cardinals fan for pretty much as long as I can remember. Learning about how their faith plays such a big part of their lives really solidified my liking of the team. I admire their commitment to their beliefs and how unashamed they are to live them out. Highly recommended reading!

Disclaimer: I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

An inspirational look at the 2013 Cardinals. When you're a big fan like my husband and I are, this is just an exceptional read. Each chapter about an individual player; their decision to live for Christ; their everyday walk -- their "intentional" walk with the Lord. It's uplifting and should be an encouragement to all those young ballplayers out there that you can be a Christian and still maintain your testimony.

Intentional Walk has by far been my favorite "inspirational" book that I have read in the past few years. I am a huge baseball fan, a Braves fan by nature, and I originally was not sure if I would enjoy reading a book written about another team. However, when I began to read through this book written about the spiritual mindset of the St. Louis Cardinals, I instantly became a Cardinals fan too. Reading quotes from the general manager John Mozeliak, the manager Mike Matheny (who I always liked when he was a catcher in the Major Leagues), and then reading quotes from several players (that even the most casual fan would know) concerning their spiritual walks with Christ and how that impacts everything they do really had a deep, profound impact on me. I appreciate the author Rob Rains and his candor in writing this tremendously uplifting book.

This book is like a biography of the manager, trainer and some players of the St. Louis Cardinals. It's a easy read. It follows their lives as they go thru the 2012 season, trying to repeat as World Series Champs.

It was interesting to learn that even though they are professional athletes, they have bad days at the office, just like the rest of us. I found it to be a little surfacey at times, I was hoping they would go more in depth or get a little more personal with the team member, but that is always limited in a book format I suppose. I would recommend this to friends who follow sports or who enjoy reading about other Christians in high profile professions.

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own
