How many mistakes are in this book?

In the preview on page 8 at the bottom of Spectrum Spelling Grade 5, students are to fill in the blanks in the paragraph using the geography words. Presumably students are to fill in with the words India and Africa for the following sentence: "Many people travel the countries to visit and explore. __________and___________ are two countries explored for cultural and historic reasons." Not only is the first sentence of this paragraph awkward with "the countries" (wouldn't it have sounded better writing "to different countries"?), the authors and editors don't seem to know (or care) that Africa is a continent, not a country. For that reason alone I would be reluctant to use this book - those are both pretty sloppy mistakes that I found quite easily as I was casually browsing spelling books to use for next year. I wonder what other mistakes are in the book!

I have used Spectrum spelling in the past, and like how simple but fun it is to use! The different lessons provide fun ways to practice spelling! The reviews are a little long, but can be skipped without affecting anything!
