We are adopting 2 brothers from US foster care and have completed the 30 hour state required training- but this book is what we really needed. We must look at these children and ourselves as God looks at us. This book gives real examples of success as well as perseverance and patience to help us show the love and acceptance we have in Christ to a child. It also helps us judge success as a parent and the success of our children through God's eyes rather than worldly standards.

I have read other books about adoption and this surpasses all of them. i really appreciate the christian approach. I highly recommend this book for anyone who need a place to start understanding the relationship and issue that can arise with families

I am only 1/3 into the book right now, but have found it to be a great resource. Easy reading (based on personal experiences) and knowlegable Christian based guidance that is practical and alerts one to the many possibilities of issues that may (and probably will) occur. This is the most comprehensive text I have yet read. We are certified as treatment foster parents now and going throught the certification process for a special needs adoption. Great book! Highly recommend!

We are in the process of fostering to adopt a 2 1/2 year old...this book has been a tremendous resource for me...and explained so many little things...I highly recommend it for ANY adoptive family.
