LeeannCdA, IDAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5great missionary storyJuly 14, 2014LeeannCdA, IDAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I love how this series focuses in on all different kinds of Christian heros. This book is about a missionary. At the end, there is a question/answer page my kids love. It had two fun facts about the missionary. My three girls loved hearing the book read aloud to them. They are between 4 and 8.

In this book, Patrick and Beth find themselves on HMS Calliope in 1621 under the command of Captain James Home. They sail to the Fiji Islands and witness a time of war between Christian Fijians and non-Christian Fijians. They meet a missionary named James Calvert who is doing all he can to stop the war while risking his own life to share Jesus with the Fijians. Beth and Patrick learn about the dangers and struggles that missionaries face to carry out the Great Commission.
