Finally, this book has begun to actually teach the fifth grader that I homeschool the basics of grammar instead of just doing exercises and then not remembering why he was doing them.

Where was this when I was in school! Easy Grammar is great at helping kids sort through sentences! The 5th Grade book is very thorough! We also have the practice books for 2nd & 8th. Easy Grammar is a keeper!

After struggling with my son over grammar every day and coming to dread the class, I turned to Easy Grammar. This series takes the the approach of finding and crossing out all prepositional phrases within a sentence; making it easier to identify subject and verb(s) from the words that remain. It also covers punctuation, verb tenses and usage, tricky words such as sit/set, and modifiers. I highly recommend this series-my son actually enjoys grammar now!

I have used an "all inclusive" language program before I purchased Easy Grammar for my kids. They like it because it breaks grammar into bite size pieces and is easy to follow. Also, it is easy for me to administer because I can have them do roughly one page per day. I then do separate spelling and writing curriculum. This seems to be right at grade level.

For anyone that has a child working NOT in their 'actual' grade level...this book makes for a problem. We have several children with learning disabilities & therefore are not 'at grade-level' in certain areas. This book has the grade level in HUGE print on the cover as well as the spine and a couple of front pages...no way to hide it! Very unfortunate because we liked the overall curriculum :(

I love this and so do my children. It simplifies grammar into easy to understand segments. I will continue to use this year after year. I highly recommend this series.

This book makes the grammar series very easy to use. We are able to easily move along as copying the pages does not allow. I will immediately buy the workbook next year, to start out right!!
