Old habits die hard. Just as former special ops soldier Josh McManus is trying to adjust to being a traveling salesman and family man, he thwarts an armed robbery. As he fights against anarchist Hawg and his biker thugs, he meets a man who arms him with the Truth. Will Josh ever be able to win the battle and go home? Approx. 96 minutes.

The product description and the trailer did not portray the movie as being as violent as it was. The stamp of approval from dove on the front of the movie is misleading as well. The opening scenes of the movie are creepy with no explanation. Senseless violence is harder to watch than violence with a back-story or some kind of obvious reason. The first 20 minutes of the movie has an incredible amount of unexplained cruelty and violence with a creepy soundtrack and creepy visual effects. The creepy (and somewhat annoying) visual effects continue throughout the movie. Even with the gospel message in the movie, I would not feel comfortable recommending this movie to other people due to the violence and disturbing images throughout.

It is a great film, good quality, good acting... but I don't like it, when at the end, it seems to be on the middle of the movie... and it's finish... You stay on your appetite and feel very hungry... and the following of the movie is not made yet...

I pretty much love all Pure Flix movies, and not to mention ones featuring David White and his wife Andrea. A great film in general and not filled with trash like what most is out there on film and TV. The end of the world movies have been around for awhile, more so in recent years... Whether it's a christian film or not guess to most can get old pretty much watching the same thing over and over again.
What's great about Revelation Road is the storyline to it, and how it happen a fresh look and style to it.. At least from what I have seen which been so many I have lost count. With Revelation Road makes it more real like you are actually living it and not watching a movie. When the rapture this are some of the things that will happen to the people.... To the people that most movies have not shown before (Again from what I have not seen). Also a new way also of what happens to the believers when the rapture happens.

Me and my hubby really enjoyed this! There were times where I was on the edge of my seat! Before I knew it, it was over! Leaving us both anxiously awaiting for part 2 Don't want to give anything away for those who have not seen this yet, but there is one scene where I had goosebumps and wet eyes along with a big smile on my face. It was very well done!

The most violent movie ever from Pure Flix. My wife couldn't endure the whole thing, highly recommend watching BEFORE allowing teenagers to see. NOT FOR CHILDREN!
(Honestly wouldn't even want my teens to view).
Did enjoy the Gospel message throughout.

Aside from a little "creative license", this movie is a realistic portrayal of life on earth today. There is a lot of violence( watch before you let youngsters watch), but that is the world we live in. This movie gives you much to consider and a message of truth. I am looking forward anxiously for part two.

Revelation Road: The Beginning of the End is just that, a beginning of at the very least a two-part movie series from Pure Flix Entertainment. The viewer gets the opportunity to meet Josh, a traveling salesman with a secret but obviously destructive past. You can see early on that Josh has the capability to go a little unhinged when necessary but you can also see that this is not a side of himself that he entertains. We also meet a pretty rough biker gang who have a charismatic leader named Hawg. The gang has no problem with messing with people, stealing and eliminating witnesses, but they do have a problem with Joshua when he gets in their way.
You can tell Joshua has a past, but it changed dramatically when he met his wife. Or at least that is what Josh thought until he sees how easy it really is to slip back into his old skill set. Can a person really change? If tackling that question isn't enough for Josh, it seems there are a lot of energy spikes, thunder storms and other natural phenomenon taking place to keep him on his toes and at the very least distracted. As the description implies, there is an end coming.
Revelation Road: The Beginning of the End is a great start. I found myself wishing for more which is a good thing since there is a sequel on the way (yay!). I have found myself enjoying most of the films that Pure Flix Entertainment has put out, and look forward to seeing where this will go. I hope I don't have to wait too long.
For the most part the film was well acted and I felt a connection with several of the characters. I even got emotional at some points too. I love when a film can accomplish that.

This film has set a whole new benchmark for end times films, singlehanded. The Gospel message is clearly and wonderfully presented through some very well drawn and performed characters. The rapture scene beats The Mark and Jerusalem Countdown, both of which had previously held championship titles in the presentation of their respective rapture sequences. Revelation Road beats them both for a couple of important reasons.
Reason 1: The characters are all wonderfully filled out and acted by their respective performers which aids immeasurably in emotional connection. The message of the Gospel of Christ is presented powerfully. Ray Wise makes the absolute most of his time in the film delivering it and Bruce Marchiano appears in a powerfully uplifting scene that has to be seen to be appreciated. The script by Sean Paul Murphy and director Gabriel Sabloff is smart and savvy in a big way. I know some might be tired of David A.R. White appearing in all of these films, he did help found the company that produces it, but he turned in a truly amazing performance that bests his work in Countdown by leagues. Brian Bosworth makes a great villain, not to mention a little scary at times. Eric Roberts shows up very briefly, but makes the most of the time he has. Noell Coet makes an impression playing Ray's granddaughter and it will be great to see more from her. David's wife Andrea Logan White also makes an indelible impression. Her character has what looks to be a promising arc in the upcoming films. Yes. One warning, this is in the tradition of The Mark and is just the first part of what promises to be a much larger story. I say bring it!
Reason 2: Technical presentation. The cinematography in this one is flat out stunning. Not to mention inventive. Once I got used to some of the visual tricks that Sabloff and cinematographer Darren Rydstrom used it became quite a unique visual feast for the eyes. The visual effects used are superb on all fronts. The score by Will Musser is emotionally gripping in a huge way.
The DVD is technically sound. The video/audio quality is very good. The bonuses may not be anywhere near extensive, but that no longer really matters to me as much as it once may have. What's here is satisfactory. I also have a thing for the holographic slipcover in the vain of PureFlix's The Mark. The blu-ray will not have it, but that is okay. It's not important at all, but it will look mighty nice on the shelf next to your DVD of The Mark, if you have it. This movie does have some violence and is not meant for kids younger than a certain age. Parents, know your kids. The Dove Foundation seal on the front of the packaging states that the film is "Faith Friendly for 12 and up" and I would say that that is a rather accurate statement. If you liked Jerusalem Countdown and The Mark, then I believe you will love Revelation Road:The Beginning of the End. The high water mark has been set once more. Pure Flix, like Sherwood Films, gets better as they go. I pray they keep them coming as long as there are those willing to spread the Word. Keep it up guys!
