In many ways, the author's method critiqued just-war theory can also be used to critique pacifism. A broader picture of situations is not given, and it is closer to a secular moralistic book instead of a theological one in its content. The view and thoughts is very bookish. The meditation before each chapter seems more like a way to manipulate the reader into the author's view. Clearly, the meditation is closer to a process of formulating of thoughts instead of authentic prayers. Jesus had commanded "But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you."
