i bought 2 of these bibles they are great. wonderful reference, nobody else's ideas just teaches you how scripture interprets scripture. it's just plain amazing, everything you need in a great study bible, especially book introductions which is a big plus! you wont be sorry to get this bible, great quality and size, fells strong in your hands, yet lies flat when you lay it down open to read.

I REALLY think that what some of the die-hard Thompson Chain Reference KJV fans(I used to be)would be a little surprised to know is that The Master Study Bible is a major force to be reckoned with!! If you can get over the fact that this Bible was printed in Korea, you are in for *gasp* a better reference Bible IMHO. The KJV is printed in a shade larger font, however there are no spaces between the start of a new chapter in a book, just a larger chapter number (except in Psalms). There are references and alternate translation helps in the center-column reference. The Bible is nicely Smythe sewn and lays flat. I happened to get the bonded leather which is very nice. I am one that uses a zipper case to transport my bibles in and only take them out while indoors. Thus, bonded leather is fine for me. Just as the Thompson, study helps are kept seperate from the text which is GREAT for memorization. This also allows you to see more chapters at once. There is an alphabetized index in the front and a very thorough encyclopedia in the rear of the Bible. I feel that this Bible is a better STUDY Bible than the Thompson because each index or encyclodedia entry has a brief explanation or definition AS WELL AS corresponding scripture. Some of the articles can be considered opinionated, however I see nothing a Christian would consider wrong. If you just totally disagree, it's nice that these articles are in the rear of the study Bible separate from the text and thus easily ignored, rather than at the bottom of the page like some of my other study Bibles (Ryrie, Scofield, ESV. I hope this helps. I have lots of Bibles and am pretty informed on the features. These days I take a hand size giant print around most of the time. If I'm teaching Sunday School or researching, The Master Study Bible has QUICKLY replaced my Thompson as the 1st Go-to!

What a wonderful Bible! It has everything and the layout is superb. Two different concordances, one in the front and one in the back, study helps and center column references. I would highly recommend this Bible.

I was overall very happy with the value that this Bible offered...genuine leather, extensive study helps for a very reasonable price. The one downside though is that it had a very strong, terrible smell to it. It gives me a headache. Hopefully after more use the smell will disappear (it's starting to get a little better.)

This has got to be one of the best study Bibles out there. It is meant for serious study and I am going to use it a lot. I still love my Thompson and Key Word Study Bibles but this has to rank right next to them in terms of usefulness. It would be even better if you could get it in NKJV or NASB.

I am taking ministry classes and this is the bible that the Pastor rec. for all the students to have. It has tons of info in it. Besides being a great bible it also has the family history pages, such as births, deaths, and marriage certificate, which you don't find anymore in bibles. LOVE IT!!

I really expected to enjoy all the 'features' of this bible, however after only a few weeks of use I found 4 obvious typos. Nothing a spell check couldn't detect...not something I personally can overlook for a bible. Features look good on paper, but if workmanship lacks integrity, it all for naught.

I have been using this bible for a couple of years and I love it. I have purchased two additional bibles for our youth pastor and co-pastor. They both loved this bible and wasted no time putting ti to use in there personal studies and group studies.

I owned this Bible in hardback and it bacame ratty so I purchased another in leather. I like the fact that all the study tools are in one volume. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about their Bible Study.

I bought this for my husband when he was going to send his old Bible to prison with my brother.It is beautiful and the information in it for studying it wonderful but it is just to much. My husband feels much more comfortable with his old Bible that didn't make it to prison after all. If your needing a Bible with tons of extra notes in the books then it's for you.If you just want God's word beautiful as it is with no extra distractions this is not for you. We now have a 35.00 Bible not being used ,think about what you want before buying.

I was kind of weary about ordering a Bible that was priced this cheap but I was truly amazed. This Bible is very well made and the topical index is the best I have ever seen. It is unusual to have it at the beginning of the book but it works out well. The text is KJV and is not pollutted by any comments other than center column reference. It has helped me in preparing sermons more than any book in my library. I WILL buy another when this one wears out.
