Customer Reviews for Barbour Publishing Out of Control, Rachel Yoder Series #3

Barbour Publishing Out of Control, Rachel Yoder Series #3

Ten-year-old Rachel is driving her Amish friends and family "buggy" with her lack of patience. Her attempts to control every situation bring her trouble at every turn-from sledding into a creek to scorching a yummy shoo-fly pie, to flunking a test in school, to being dragged facedown in the snow. Can Grandpa's wise words regarding patience get through to Rachel? Or will she spend the winter getting into more trouble than her Lancaster County family and schoolmates can handle? What will it take to teach Rachel that there are some things she just can't control? Recommended for ages 7 to 10.

Wanda Brunstetter is a great writer. This series for children is captivating. They always have great morals. She is a must read for children! Her books for adults are also great.

Rachel seems to find trouble wherever she goes. I have a niece that Rachel reminds me of. I have told all my friends about the books. I am going to tell the local library about these. Maybe she can get them in for the children to read. I believe that the kids could learn from this 10 yr. old girl. I can't wait to read the next books in this series. I have read all of them & all the adult books that are out so far. I have loved reading all of them and would read them all over again.

I have read the first four books of the Rachel Yoder series and love each and everyone of them.I have recommended them to the school library where I work. Ten year old Rachel's antics are so funny and entertaining to me. I like Rachel could never seem to stay out of trouble. I was somewhat of a control freak (still am to an extent) I believe she will grow up to be a valuable part of her Amish heritage as she grows and acquires the patience she will need. I highly recommend all of the books from the Rachel Yoder series.Wanda is an excellent author and I have read ever book she has written and am anxiously awaiting new releases for 2009.

Rachel gets herself in trouble many times trying to take control of every situation and make it come out the way she would like it to. Her lack of patience gets her into many scraps, she learns that if she waits a minute and thinks through it works much better, and waiting for help when she needs it is important too. Good reading!!
