Although history is still not my daughter's favorite subject, this is one of the better history curriculum's I've seen. It goes into more depth and suggests a variety of activities that correspond with each lesson. I recommend it.

If you are looking for quantity then this is the curriculum for you. This curriculum has too many books and is confusing. College courses do not have this many books for one subjects. The material covered is lacking substance and uninteresting. The pages of the books look like newspaper. If the book is compiled into one book, weeded of the bland material, and some color added it could possibly work.

I have home schooled for 11 years and have never seen anything like this History program from Notgrass. My daughter loves it and my highschooler like his Exploring America as well. I highly recommend this to anyone.

My middle grade children are really enjoying this American history curriculum! It has interesting information that even I am enjoying reading. They are doing both review workbooks as well as the timeline and map work with no complaint. The literature reading assignments are the perfect accompaniment. The whole curriculum makes it easy for them to work independently. I only wish it had been around for my older children too. Highly recommended!!

America the Beautiful is very well written and quite thorough. I love that maps, documents, timelines, etc. are included! We also ordered the Lesson Review and are pleased with it as well. You cannot go wrong with this curriculum!
