Adapted from the original bestselling novel, The Christmas Sweater: A Picture Book is the story of a young boy who finds the true meaning of Christmas in the most unlikely of places. Eddie wants a bicycle for Christmas, but his mother knits him a homemade sweater instead. His disappointment is obvious, but a magical journey makes Eddie realize that the sweater is far more than it seems. Ultimately it teaches him that the true meaning of a gift is that it is given with love.

This book is a wonderful example of what Christmas is all about. The author gives the reader of all ages the opportunity to "think" about why we have Christmas. A child in my circle of friends recently shared that "all I want for Christmas is Jesus" after her grandmother read the book to her. SUPER BOOK!

I read Glenn Becks' Christmas Swater last year and truly loved it. One of my nieces bought it for her sisters. Then I saw The Christmas Sweater a Picture Book. I loved the story but found the illustrations just beautiful. Perfect for children.
