Due to the variety of worship and praise music of modern times, many of us forget the hymns that we learned as children (at least those who are my age or older). These hymns are based on the Bible directly and tell a story, rather than repeating a single phrase. This collection represents one of the best renderings of the old standards that I have heard. Not dirges, not artistic renditions of the original, just enjoyable music that has feeling and Biblical grounding. There are other sets of hymns out there, but this one encompasses these songs in all aspects better than the others in my opinion.
