Provident Music Distribution The Last Street Preacha CD

"We 'bout the Great Commission movement, man...," says "son of a preacha man" and "redeemed hoodlum" T-Bone. West Coast hip-hop rhythm & rhyme and in-your-face gospel mark the rapper's first album in three years. Includes "My Dream," the story of a drug lord; the reggae-style "Conversion"; the club groove "Getcha Hands Up"; "Father Figure," a tribute to his dad; and more.

I think this was an okay album by T Bone, personally my favorite is The Hoodlums Testimony, but this is probably second best to me, but everybody is different.

It's a reviewer's cliche but I would definitely rate this higher if I could! I thought nothing could beat Grits' "Art of Translation" but this sure did. Don't get me wrong, AOT is great but I love T Bone more. Last Street Preacha has even become my favorite CD. Scary thing is Cross Movement may be even better than the previous two! So us Christians who can't (or choose not to) listen to secular rap aren't missing out on too much because we have these three awesome artists. Anyway, I love every song except 14 and 17 and my favorites are My Dream, True 2 Life Players, and Last Street Preacha.

I got into rap music about a year ago. This was one of the first CD's I bought, and probably one of the best. If you want another good Christian rap CD check out Grits' "The Art of Translation". That's another awesome CD.

This review may seem very different from all the other reviews, but I would just like to say that T-bone's rap ministry as seen through the cds he puts out seems to have been getting weaker in the ministry area and stronger in musical/production area. I feel that his first cds were awesome and inspired and that you could truly see that he was very humble and that his lyrics were very purposeful and from the heart.Since then, it seems to me that he has been compromising where his heart originally was and has begun to focus more on his image, style, and looking good wearing expensive jewelry.I love you, T-bone, but there were many times while listening to your cd that I was kind of blown away at the difference in your lyrics, and I often could not tell them apart from what secular artists would be rappin'.If you are someone who appreciates the west coast 'hard' style, check out Sevin. If you want some rap that truly puts it down with much flavor on EVERY song, then check out Corey Red or The Cross Movement. God Bless you all.

This cd is awesome. I've always known about T-Bone but I was neverreally a fan. But this cd totally won me over. The beats are str8 up sound like Dr. Dre and this album not only competes with secular rap, but blows a lot of it out of the water!

Oh Man! I've always been a T-Bone fan, but this album is on an entirely new level- plain amazin'! It's been over 3 years since his last CD, but definitely worth the wait 'cause T-Bone has upped the ante BIG TIME! The best songs are "Get Ya Hands Up," "Street Life," and "Ride Wit Me," but to be honest, there's not one bad, or even average song on here- they're all great(although the chorus to "Friends" can get a little annoying). Not only can T-Bone flow with the best of them, but his lyrics are truly God inspired. No question 'bout it, T-Bone is a "street preacha" of the first degree. Get this album- it's OFF THA HOOK!

T-Bone truly has a unique style. As an owner of all his CDs, I can tell you that I like them all, but I think each one gets a little better! There's no doubt the quality of this cd can compare to any secular rap artist. True dat. I am not sure, but I do not know of another rapper that can bust it as fast as Boney Bone. Chase is the man with mad beats. This CD is tight. Definitely worth buying. Shouts to Bone.

Thanks T-bone for your awesome music and great message. Eminiem & Dre are nothing compared to you. Thanks for providing an alternative to them for Christian and secular listeners alike. Big sound, big difference. Keep on shining your light! My friends are amazed that my parents would allow me to listen to/buy this kind of music because it's the stuff they listen to. You're making a difference in both worlds. People like my friends need to learn that Christian music isn't strictly hymns. My friend never listens to Christian music because she thinks it's just Southern gospel. You're here to show people it's possible to be a Christian and still listen to incredibly awesome & pure rap.

Man, I'd give you a 10, Boneybone, but this thing won't allow me! I have all albums and this is the best album T-Bone has produced! This album can compete with Ludacris, DMX, Ja Rule, Jay-Z, Eminem and all the other secular rappers! How many rappers can you name that has your head or body or both moving in all their songs?! This is a great album; I think Cross Movement and T-Bone should collaborate and lay out a phat track and win souls with it!! You can never say that T-Bone don't teach you something in his songs! T-Bone, keep it up and come to MD sometime!!!
