I remember when I first heard the Newsboys when they came to Redlands, California @ the Redlands Bowl. I even remember when they first came on the scene when Peter had a full head of hair! I really do like their music over the years, but I have to say (unfortunately) that this was not the best remix album put out by the producers and remixers of their songs. Nothing beats the originals, in my opinion. So, that is why I am forced to give this particular album a low rating.

OK THIS CD ROCKS THE HOUSE! Newsboys have done it again.....I love it how they turned their original choruses into disco pop remixes. It totally rocks. Go NBS!

I have to kindly disagree with Paul. This CD is awesome. I have become a bigger fan of remixed songs. Like what Peter Furler said about them, they're like one of those TV makeover shows: you give the words and melody a new jacket and shoes, the rhythm a nip 'n' tuck, and send it out on the dance floor. This is their second remix album, and both are amazing.

I love Newsboys I have everyone of their CDs. Go is one of their best yet, but "Go remix" is nothing compared to the original. I keep trying to listen to it to see if it will grow on me but no luck yet. Sorry this CD is their worst out of all their remixes.

Coming off what I would easily call the band's best album to date comes a sweet surprise. A second release of Newsboys: Go...dedicated to alternate versions of the songs on the original. When I first heard about the project I have to admit I was "In Wonder." How in the world were the boys going to find a way to pump anymore energy into an already rockin' piece of work? But thinking back to their original remixed album...I knew it was all "Gonna Be Alright." Turns out I was right. Each mix has its own uniqueness without losing sight of the original song. Too many times a so called remix turns out to be nothing more than the same series of drum beats over and over with bits and pieces of the chorus thrown in just so the listener knows what song it's SUPPOSED to be. Not so with Go: Remixed. Most of the lyrics are still intact and in the case of City To City, some extras thrown in for good measure. I was glad to see this one make the lineup since it was relegated to the limited edition of the original release. Nice move. My only real disappointment with this project is that while some songs were expanded, the title track "Go"...which I thought was too short on the original is still tooooooooo short. In fact, I believe it comes in a few seconds shorter...falling somewhere in the 2:40 range. Another SLIGHT annoyance is the overly synthesized lyrics on "The Mission"....but still enjoyable. If you like to sing.....and whistle with the Newsboys, don't worry. Go: Remixed gives you the same opportunity to rattle off your favorite hook along with Peter and the gang....all with a fresh, new beat. And I dare you not to bust out laughing when the backward lyrics pop up out of nowhere. Sorry, no clues. It's a "Secret." So, here is your "Mission". "Go", "City To City" if you have to...but find the nearest copy of Go: Remixed and add it to your collection. It really is "Something Beautiful."

Can't wait for this album to be released! The regular "Go" album is awesome, and I know that the remix will be, too!
