Customer Reviews for Capitol Christian Music Group On the Altar Of Love

Capitol Christian Music Group On the Altar Of Love

The fifth studio album from Canadian quartet Downhere carries their worship-fueled sound to new heights with finely layered melodies, soaring sing-along choruses, and a blend of driving rock and delicate ballads. On the Altar of Love includes the piano-led "Let Me Rediscover You," the energetic anthem "Rest," plus "Living the Dream," "Reveal the Kingdom," and eight more.

The music is diverse but so in line with Downhere. The words have depth and soul...what a way to praise Our Lord and Saviour! By far, my favorite is "Let Me Rediscover You"...and coming up behind it is "Reveal the Kingdom"...both which we will be doing in our worship service!

I have been watching Downhere's video of "Let Me Rediscover You" for several weeks prior to their premier of this cd. I love it, so the cd is also great!

If your wondering whether to buy yea go ahead and get the whole album.
Downhere Good Christian Music...a band that is not afraid to say "Jesus" as many "Christian" bands are unfortunately.
Takes a couple of listens for me to like an album but as with all Downhere albums the lyrics are very meaningful and powerful. The music grows on you and eventually their album becomes a favorite.
Great songs are especially Holy (worship oriented),
On the altar of love ( good lyrics and cool retro music)
Rest ( starts off with a U2 sound but also very good)
For the Heartbreak ( Not an easy song to sing but still very true)
and many more good tracks......
I can truly say I am proud to be a fan of Downhere for the last 10 years, a band that stands on the firm Foundation and won't sell out Christ to sell records on the secular circuit which many other bands do.
If the Downhere band is reading this...... Thanks so much for the encouraging music, it has really been a blessing when I am down to listen and sing along.
