This CD is not as good as the other albums by Karen Peck & New River. It didn't have the same uplifting music, but rather, contained songs that didn't have that same bluegrass/country gospel feel to them. Almost popular, but slow type music that you would hear in a church. A few of the songs were fast, but they were more Broadway style. The first song was okay, but not really that catchy. Her other albums are much better (in my opinion)...this album just wasn't exciting or fun to listen to.
This is a good album by KP&NR. I knew it would be hard to follow "Journey of Joy" but they did. The first single "I Want to Thank You" is a really good sing. Some my favorites are "Waitin on the Lord", "Ephesians Chapter One", and "The Cradle and the Grave". But my favorite is "We Shall Wear a Robe and Crown". GREAT ALBUM. Some songs break into contemporary just a bit but it's all good. :)
