Candidly truthful and compassionately hopeful, the fourth release from acclaimed singer-songwriter Sara Groves to be another creative expression of faith and relationships. This new project echoes Sara's first release Conversations, in its' intimate and honest lyrical journey. This is Sara's bridge building statement to fellow men pointing to the adventurous, transcending, life-changing Kingdom story. As a talented singer-songwriter, Sara offers an insightful and and accessible view into the complexities of the Christian life being carried out in a fallen world.

"Add To The Beauty" is not only Sara Groves' album with the most songwriters' teamwork, but also the most rhythm driven. The warm sound with a lot of piano and guitars is enriched with Rhodes, B3, cello, English horn and a so-called scitando harp and weaves on the smooth pop tapestry of Station Wagon (2005). The straight forward folk-pop-feel and the narrative, honest lyrics paint pictures of hope and faith amidst our everydayness and very much recall the label debut of this gifted singer-songwriter with her softly melancholic voice: Conversations (2000/01). - Sara Groves was inspired by 2 Peter 1:5-8 and a remark by Mother Teresa: You can do no great things, just small things with great love. Each song shows how amazingly beautifully and redemptive God can work in our lives: renewing, healing, and even rewriting tragedies. Our world really is in need of such beauty that tells God's redemptive story in a creative way! - For me, this cd with its autumnal cover art is one of her most beautiful ones.

Loves music
I think this is one of Sara Groves' best albums, musically. Her lyrics, as always, are straight forward and honest - coming from a lot of pain, but always hopeful. The songs are very relational: "When It Was Over" speaks about love covering over a multitude of things after an almost-fall-out in a marriage; "It's Going To Be Alright" is a heartfelt attempt to bring hope and encouragement to a burdened friend; "Rewrite This Tragedy" again addresses the hope of working through hard times in a relationship; "Loving A Person" is a beautiful and honest look at "loving a person just the way they are, it's no small thing - it takes some time to see things through..." "Kingdom Comes," "Just Showed Up For My Own Life," and "Something Changed" all in some way address God's loving, but sometimes painful, hand at work changing us from the inside out. A beautiful and heartfelt collection of songs. I highly recommend it to both Sara Groves fans and those who have never heard her music before! You will be blessed!
