Provident Music Distribution Conspiracy No. 5 CD

Brace yourself for another powerhouse collection of alternative southern rock from your favorite blue-collar band! Mac Powell's voice is still the defining element, belting out faith-driven lyrics on songs like "My Hope Is You," "Give Me a Reason," and the concert favorite, "Alien."

I love this CD, but it is a little different that most of Third Day's work. If you are looking for Third Day praise and worship, this CD is not that type of music. I have all their music, at different times in my life, one will just stick out until I move to a different place in my life. This CD is more for going through a breakup or ending of a relationship, or it is for me anyway.

Best CD I own. Even the weakest track, Have Mercy, is a great song of repentance that would stand out on any other CD. Powell takes on a wide number of topics, from other music (You Make Me Mad) to the unfaithfulness of the church (Gomer's Theme) with consistent lucidity. Also, there are many stand out worship tracks. Throw in the awesome guitar work of Avery and Lee, particularly in More to This, and you have a new standard for high quality rock (notice I didn't say Christian rock) and an album that glorifies God from start to end.

This group is wonderful, moving, uplifting, inspirational and, I believe, still evolving. They give an excellent live performance.

The best Christian album I've heard. If you like the sound of Pearl Jam and STP, you must have this album. I've owned it for over a year and haven't tired of it. Mac Powell praises the Lord with his powerful vocals; I never cease to be moved.
