This was my 1st Michael W. Smith purchase and I have had it for years on cassette tape! I actually purchased this CD for a friend to encourage her walk of faith! She loved it and her favorite songs are "Friends" and "Be Strong and Courageous"! I love " The Race Is On", and years later I'm still running! Thanks, Michael!

Best album Michael W. ever recorded(besides maybe "Go west")!!! I wish he would have continued writing with his wife, and utilize the same awesome drummer Mark Hammond(very, very underrated drummer). "Project" blew my mind when it came out, "Could he be the Messiah" was/is a great song, as well as the other more well known hits.

I bought the original cassette as soon as it came out way back in the early '80's. I love the original cover. I wish that there was some way to get it signed by Michael. His second album I got also as soon as it was released. I have followed his music for more than 20 years. I got to see him for the first time when he performed at the Franklin Graham Festival in Corpus Christi last year(Oct. 2005). I brought the cassette in hopes of meeting him, but, alas, no one was allowed near the stage.

For the time that this album was made, it was very good, I'm sure. I bought the cassette a few years ago (with the original funny looking cover) and thought that most of the album was about as funny as the cover. Lots of synthesyzers, and 80's rock style. "Friends" and "Great is the Lord" are the only really signature MWS sounds on the record. I think it took him until around 1990 when he finally found his true sound. Good album, old album, and a classic album though.
