In my oppinion the greatest artist of Christian music was the late great Larry Norman. Norman himself , however said this was the best Christian rock album ever. Need i say more. Buy it.

I have been a fan of Bob Dylan all of my adult life -- more than 30 years. His songs and the way he has approached his artistry have always inspired me. And, in my opinion, dating all the way back to his early sixties folk material, Bob has always been informed and inspired by the Bible in one way or another. This album, Slow Train Coming, is a very overt expression of his spirituality, in that he had just gone through a period of accepting and acknowledging Christ in his life, but the fact he recorded it never surprised me as much as it did some other Dylan fans at the time, to whom it came as a shock. Neither am I surprised it has now come to be regarded as a classic. He's recorded more than 30 studio albums, and I rank this one in the top 5 -- just as a Dylan album. As a Christian, I rank it as a great testement of faith as well. The musicianship is superb and the songwriting, as well as Dylan's empassioned lyrics and vocal delivery make it well worth listening for any Christian. My favorite tracks include the title cut, Gotta Serve Somebody, and When He Returns, which I was so inspired by, I once played it during a church service at my home town church. My recommendation: Don't wait, buy it!

I bought this CD several years ago. "Gotta Serve Smebody" and "Gonna Change My Way Of Thinking" are my favorites. For the most part Bob sings "on key" on this recording. This, in my opinion, is a classic Christian Rock/Music CD.
