Provident Music Distribution Wire CD

The new century has been very good to bandmates Mac Powell, Brad Avery, Mark Lee, Tai Anderson, and David Carr. Best known for their kinetic live shows filled with modern worship music and a signature southern style, the million-selling Grammy and Dove Award-winning band has been named the GMA Group and Artist of the Year, had their Offerings album go gold, and played to sold-out venues across the country.

Third Day consistently delivers fresh, contemporary worship music that Christians use in church, youth groups, concerts, and rallies. But when it's time to rock, they rock---and Wire says, "It's time!"

From "Innocent" to "You Are Mine" a nicelywritten album. "It's a Shame" is a comfortingsong to play while groaning in prayer for the girl/woman who is coping with letting theLORD restore her from emotional abuse.

Excellent cd. Third Day did another great cd. I like the songs Come On Back To Me, Wire, I Got A Feeling, Till The Day I Die, and Rockstar. The rest of the cd is great too. I have this cd in my Third Day collection.

I was thrilled to discover Third Day, because I had gotten rid of all secular rock music when I was reborn and thought my musical choices were limited to hymns. Now I can listen to rock again without fear of offending The Holy Spirit, or troubling my own spirit. This is a rock album with plenty of bass/guitar/drums. Third Day's Wire is a spiritually safe, rockin' alternative to anything that the 'world' may have to offer! My favorite Third Day albums, though, are Offerings and Offerings II. Come to think of it, Wherever You Are is great too...

OK..I can't compare this to other 3D works, as this is the first one that I have ever gotten. Now I am tempted to get Conspiracy #5 since everyone is talking about that one. As for me, I LIKE "wire" a lot! It has a good mix of different styles of tunes and has some "Edge" to it..as a NEW fan of 3D,I can only say it is a GOOD solid CD to be exposed to them with, I have definitely bought much much worse. As an aside, it does not have as much edge as say "Jekyll n Hyde" by Petra, which is NOTHING like their previous stuff, so as 2 other guys said-it may not have held up as a "return to rock with an edge". I am still very happy with "Wire" none the less!

"Wire" is by far the best Third Day album yet! The first time I heard it, I loved it and it is still my favorite CD. The songs have original lyrics and tunes, but it is still the sound of Third Day. This is a must have for every Third Day fan!!!

I agree with Scott. I've never been a fan of 3D, but, I've been tempted to give them a try. I did enjoy Conspiracy #5, and the Offerings albums are good, but none of the other 3D albums are quite what I'm looking for. This one starts out good, but I just lost intrest after the first two songs.

If you like the traditional 3D sound you are going to love this album if you were looking for something a little new and rocky from 3D you are going to be a little disappointed. If this disc wasn't being marketed as a 3D's return to "rock" I may have marked it higher. This was supposed to be 3D's next step (kind of like their "Achtung Baby" if you will). I read how they approached this album like they were a new band trying to make it, so my expectations were high for a disc that was going to be raw, hard hitting, and new (with some classic 3D sound still in the mix). When I heard the first song I thought for sure this disc was going to deliver, but soon realized that was about all the rock and some freshness I was going to get. The rest of the album gets bogged down with mid-tempo rockers, slow songs (which don't come close to other 3D worship classics), and maybe two other okay "rock" songs. Wire is not all that different from the other recent 3D releases which makes it a miss on my bullseye. Fortunately, for all us 3D fans that were looking for something new from the band, we still have "Conspiracy # 5", which may be their best and most creative album to date.

To be honest, it took awhile for this album to grow on me, but after about the third listen I was hooked. This is my fifth Third Day album and I can definitely see their growth. I remember loving "Time", and then "Come Together" came out and I was wishing there were a few more "rocky" songs like "Get on" and "40 days".This album definitely satisfied that craving. It has a better balance than "Come Together", melding both rocky songs and slower songs as well as more mid-tempo songs into one perfectly constructed album. It has something for everyone, and another great thing about it is that a few of the songs can have a lot of different meanings (like "Wire", "It's a Shame", etc.)Some people are in a huff about the fact that there seems to be a lack of God's name in the entirerecord, and all I can say to that is simply this: Not only is it obvious that this is a Christ-centered album (take the song "You Are Mine" for example: "Sometimes I wonder why you even love me, and why you ever chose to call me child; Then I remember it's by your sacrifice, I can say that I am yours and you are mine") but you can also see the hand of God throughout it. I would question those people who are huffy over this issue about what's more important: appearances, or a deeper meaning?I would recommend this album to anyone.

This is a great CD. I love listening to songs that can reach out to the world and yet still have a positive, uplifting message. This album has sold more than 61,100 in the first week of its release! This has to be the fastest selling Third Day record to date. I can see that this is also going Gold very soon and maybe Platinum. I would recomend this CD for anybody, anywhere.

You definitely get a little bit more rock out of Third Day in this album, and of course there are the slower songs that are in every T.D. album. I do have several complaints about the album, things that I thought were missing from this album that made their other releases so good. Starting with the slower songs: I admit that I've only listened through this album carefully once, but there seemed to be a lack of a great worship song. Now I know God loves worship, whether it's considered "great" by human standards or not, but every album of Third Day's has had a genuinely heart-felt worship song that is awesome. There didn't seem to be one on Wire. Maybe I just missed it. My other complaint was that there just seemed to be a lack of quality back-up guitar. Brad and Mark in the past have played off eachother so well, not just playing the same chords, but approaching a song from different angles to make it beautiful. It seemed that the vast majority of the time they were both playing lead-guitars and there wasn't that classic-T.D. background picking. There also seemed to be a lack of soloing in Wire, which surprises me. Mark and Brad have very different styles, but they're both accomplished soloists in my opinion, and I'm surprised at the lack of them. Again, I have to listen to the album a few more times to get a better feel for it, but these were my first impressions of Wire. Certainly not a bad album.

Great album. Though not too much of a new sound experience compared to the rest of their albums.

What can I say?! Third Day has done it again. I've only listened to "Wire" once straight through, but my impression already is that this CD rocks and will stay in my CD player for a long, long time. It does tail off into a different feel as the CD goes along. Billy Brown isn't really a song that will stay with me. But I love that they rock out through most of the tracks. This CD is OFF THE HOOK! Go out and buy it today. You wont be disappointed. Also, tell your friends to buy it too. I'm hoping this will go mainstream and reach out to the secular audience.

Well Third Day is at it again. Another smashing album from one of the best Rock banks in Christian music. The album jumps right in on the very first track. One of the more deeper songs is the track Innoncent. By far this is one of the best albums by Third Day since their very first album. Great job, guys!
