Essential Records Until We Have Faces

Essential Records' two time GRAMMY-nominated hard rock outfit RED packs a potent sonic punch on its third project, Until We Have Faces, a record that leaps out of the speakers with a ferocity and complexity reflecting the band's growth and intensity. Until We Have Faces takes listeners down the path of recognizing the hollowness of life until finding their true identity (revealed on "Faceless"), the idea of creative destruction unveiled in the midst of new life (found on "Let It Burn"), and simultaneously presenting the positive energy found even "in a world so cold" (explored on the infectious, melodic ballad "Not Alone").

Red's work is amazing! Until We Have Faces has a slight blend from their previous 2 albums End of Silence and Innocence & Instinct along with something new. I loved it from the first time i listened to it. The best songs are "Faceless", "Not Alone", "Feed the Machine", "The Outside", "Who We Are", "Hymn for the Missing", "Let It Burn", and "Buried Beneath". You will love this album!

Red is my favorite band and this cd is the best one yet. It rocks hard and the lyrics are so intense. Love their style. They continue to be a great Christian band!

As a huge Red fan, I was very excited to listen to Until We Have Faces. This cd is a good example of Red striving to become more 'radio-friendly'. This is not really a bad thing, however. "Feed The Machine" is the heaviest on the album, and possibly Red's best song to date! "Buried Beneath" and "Watch You Crawl" are other catchy tracks, and "Who We Are" is a solid anthem worthy checking out. I was very impressed with their more uplifting Christian lyrics this time around. Especially in "Not Alone" and "Best Is Yet To Come". Red does seem to be slowly losing their originality (the piano was rather absent until the final song; song length is also decreasing), but they keep their music honest and great to listen to, so its no problem. I highly recommend this cd to any Red fan or someone looking for a solid rock album.

Whoa!! Beware. When you put this cd in the cd player, it EXPLODES! Feed the Machine is an unbelievable song as well as Faceless, which they recently played on the tonight show. Slowly, they calm down into the Hymn for the Missing. It is truly amazing how they combine heavy metal and the classical kinds of music. If you are a heavy metal fan, this one is a must buy. I can't wait to rock out with RED at the Winter Jam here in a couple weeks!!
